Ted.com is a wonderful resource on the Internet for ideas and inspiration. There are 100's of great presentations, however four have spoken to many in the education field.

Remember that all TED presentations are Creative Commons licenced, so are copyright free. Which means you can download them and share them with you friends or colleagues at work, perhaps at a staff development day?

Once upon a school is the website focused on Dave Eggers 2008 TED Prize list. Look at what people are doing to make a contribution to childrens education.

in-transit - is a NZ govt website that helps young people find out their way in the world. A great starting point if you are unsure if you should get a job, go to University or Tech, or have a gap year!

KnowHow2GO - Know How 2 Go is an American website that helps high school kids in the IUS think about what they will do in 'college' (University). While it is very Americianised, there are some good tips and hints here.

Canadian living have a very good article titled "Why go to University?" It's a good read for parents and students.
