StudyTXT did not win the Computerworld award for Excellence in the Use of IT in Education:Tertiary and Commercial. Congratulations to the Airways Corporation who won this category.
A pleasant surprise on the night was finding that StudyTXT had been nominated as a finalist for the "Judge's Choice for Best Value" award. Congratulations to Point England School for winning this category with this podcasting KPE project.

 Waiariki Institute of Technology is currently undertaking a trial of the StudyTXT system with their nursing students. Lecturer Mandy Williams has taken the key points from her face to face lectures and condensed them into short text messages that the students can use for review and learning on their cellphones.

StudyTXT News will be added here as points of interest develop. A number of tertiary institutions within New Zealand have expressed interest in participating in a trial of the StudyTXT service. As we formalise the users agreement we will publish there names here. Also feedback from the first live student trials will be place here soon.
