This site is focused on my professional life as an educator. I am currently an elearning designer in Learning Environments at the University of Melbourne, having just started this position in November 2012.
From 2011 until 2012 I was a lecturer / eLearning Advisor in the centre for elearning at Curtin University in Perth.
I was a senior lecturer at AUT University where I have taught from 1987 until 2011. In my journey as a tertiary educator, I have developed interests in all aspects and levels of education, however I am extremely interested in:
- MOOCs
- blended and flexible learning
- mLearning
- learning spaces/environments
- educational leadership
- what creates a great learning environment for students
- the impact of technologies on learning
- web 2.0 and learning
Please have a look around this site to see aspects of my range of interests within the educational landscape.
My teaching philosophy is encapsulated in my tertiary teaching excellence profile.
What have I been doing recently?
Apart from working at AUT as a flexible learning advisor, here is a list of some of the more exciting things I have done over the last few years.
